One of the biggest success stories of Magnetic Autocontrol in Malaysia was the installation of numerous pedestrian gates that enable Malaysian citizens to follow a fast and automated immigration process at KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport). The fully automated immigration procedure is extremely appreciated by the travelers. Malaysia was one of the first countries worldwide who implemented this kind of advanced technology in 2001. Now, after 5 years of successful operation the Malaysian Immigration Authority and the system integrator IRIS recently decided to rely again on Magnetic Control Systems for an extension and upgrade of existing gates. In the last weeks 19 of the latest generation of Magnetic Immigration Gates (e-Gates) have been installed at the new Low Cost Carrier Terminal and the main Terminal at KLIA. Based on the new advanced and patented MHTMTM direct drive technology these Immigration Gates guarantee a much faster and more convenient immigration procedure for Malaysian citizens. Another project where Magnetic Malaysia has been confirmed as a reliable supplier of pedestrian gates is the Petronas Twin Towers. In the year 2000 Magnetic Control Systems has installed 34 specially designed retractable pedestrian gates in the lobby of both towers. Now, after 5 years of reliable operation, Petronas recently decided to upgrade the existing gates with the latest drive technology, controller and mechanism. For this tender several local vendors were invited. As a result of quality and reliability of our technology Magnetic won the pitch for upgrading the 34 gates with the new MHTMTM based Kit Sets. Early in May 2006 the visitors of the Twin Tower offices will experience a much faster and more secure passage when entering or leaving this outstanding architectural building. These two projects represent only a small fraction of the latest new projects of Magnetic Malaysia. Many others have been won in the last weeks and months.
