In response to current security upgrades at major entry points into Australia, Magnetic Automation Pty Ltd has been involved in various projects around Australia involving airports and ports. Of particular note is a project given to the Magnetic NSW office based in Sydney for the Sydney Ports Corporation. This project called for the installation and commissioning of High Impact Barriers at the overseas port terminal at Circular Quay.
Hydraulic Wedge Barriers in action The project consisted of two in ground rising wedge barriers, two surface mounted wedge barriers and four MIB traffic barriers. As this was a turnkey project also required to be completed was all civil and electrical works as required. The hydraulically operated wedge barriers were imported from Delta Scientific in the U.S.A. These barriers are K12 rated which will stop a 67kN impact at 80kph.
Combination of Wedge Barrier and Vehicle Barrier Type MIB 30
The traffic barriers are the Magnetic MIB 30 barriers. This is one barrier out of a large portfolio of vehicle barriers. Magnetic Automation provides a wide variety of access control solutions. Our product range includes vehicle barriers for corporate access, parking, tollway and others. Manifold vehicle barriers have been installed by us and our distributors at airports and seaports. We are able to provide the right solution to your individual project needs. In this case the entire project ran for 12 weeks from receipt of order to final commissioning and handover.
